The biggest diamond exporting country in 2016 was India, followed by the United States, Belgium, Israel and HongKong. This does not mean, that these are the countries where the diamonds are mined, but where they are traded. Belgium and Israel have been diamond trading spots for centuries. The biggest ‘producer of Diamonds’ are Russia, Botswana, Canada, South Africa and Angola. Namibia, Lesotho, Democratic Republic of Congo, Australia and Sierra Leone complete the top 10.
