The territory with the most infant deaths was India, followed by Nigeria and Pakistan. In Nigeria, for every 100 babies born alive, 6 die in the following 12 months.
In 26 territories the rate is over 1 infant death for every 20 live births. All of these 25 of these territories are in Africa, the remaining other on is Afghanistan. The highest infant mortality rate is in the Central African Republic where 7 babies die, of every 100 born alive.
