Sindhi is a language of Pakistan. Roughly 14% of the population there speak it as a first language.
Sindhi is spoken by approximately 24 million people, in at least 9 territories. It is spoken mainly in the Sindh region of Pakistan, and in western parts of India, where many people migrated around the time of the establishment of the modern state of Pakistan in 1947. Smaller number of speakers are found in the Philippines, Qatar, Canada, the United States, Singapore and the United Kingdom.
