One day I decided to try to have a complete day without tea. I was quite shaken. I was quite disturbed.
Overall almost 6 millions tons of tea were produced world wide in 2016. The biggest producer of tea is China, with more than a third of the total production, followed by India, Kenya, Sri Lanka and Turkey. Vietnam, Indonesia, Myanmar, Argentina and Japan complete the top 10. Overall tea is produced in almost 50 countries, mostly Asia.
