The world’s biggest producer of almonds are the United States, producing with more than 2 million tons in 2016 around ten times as many almonds as the runner-up Spain. Iran, Morocco and Syria are completing the Top five.
With an increase of almost 1.5 million tons from 2000 to 2016 the United States are also leading here. Iran and Australia are more than doubled their harvest in that period.
