“On 27 November 1895, Alfred Nobel signed his last will and testament, giving the largest share of his fortune to a series of prizes in Physics, Chemistry, Physiology or Medicine, Literature and Peace – the Nobel Prizes. The United States of America are leading the list of Physics laureates, with 95 out of the 247, followed by Germany (31) and the United Kingdom (24). France and Russia complete the top 10, with 14 and 12 – respectively.
